Through this educational video, the Department of Public Safety hopes to help parents recognize the signs of teen drug use. ĭrugs + Your Kids: Learning to Recognize the Signs This hands-on educational tool will help train adults to notice the small details that comes with alcohol and drug use. The in-person exhibit is only for adults ages 21 a nd older. You can view the exhibit during school and community events and/or view the interactive display below to learn about the items that could be "hidden in plain sight" in your teen's room. Parents and other caring adults can learn how to spot warning signs and get tips for communicating with their teens. This interactive display of a teenager’s bedroom contains items that c ould indicate a young person might be involved in risky activities. The program focuses on what parents can learn about everyday items that may be indicators of risky behavior and/or drug use for their preteen or teenager. Hidden in Plain Sight is designed to help parents and caregivers spot signs of high-risk behaviors such as substance abuse, eating disorders, and other mental health concerns. Hidden In Plain Sight (HIPS) is a drug awareness program for parents, providers and/or gaurdians. This webinar will provide education and awareness surrounding drug slang, current trends, and signs and symptoms of possible. The Hidden in Plain Sight curriculum helps parents, caregivers and out-of-school time providers to recognize signs of substance misuse.
