![]() (1) It has a ten-minute casting time, so you either need to somehow bait the sorcerers into an area where you've pre-cast the spell, or sneak up on where they are and manage to secretly cast it before giving away your position (difficult, maybe impossible), or find a way to cast it quickly (Wish: Mordenkainen's Private Sanctum, but that's probably infeasible), or research a Teleport Block spell based on Mordenkainen's Private Sanctum but with a shorter duration and casting time (requires asking your DM what his rules are on spell research). ![]() Thanks!Mordenkainen's Private Sanctum can block teleport, but there are a couple of issues with it: Party consists of a Bardadin (Conquest), a Sorcerer (Dragon Magic), a Fighter (Battlemaster), a Rogue (Assassin), and a Druid (Not sure, actually).ĭoes anyone know of any spells, items, or other strategies we could use to prevent the constant teleportation escapes? We have plenty of gold saved up to buy scrolls if necessary. The DM says they're using magic items rather than spells, so our Sorcerer's counterspell is useless. Unfortunately, our DM has discovered the magic of teleportation- whenever we get close enough to catch the enemies, they teleport out with one magical trick or another. I'm currently in a D&D 5e campaign in which the party is tracking an elusive cabal of spellcasters. ![]()
